Today was mostly a day at sea. As mentioned before, one of the wonderful benefits of Lindblad Expeditions is that regular education talks often happen while sailing. Today there was a talk on archeological fieldwork at Skalanes and one on glaciers.
With a wet landing at Skalanes and the prediction of poor weather, I opted not to bring my camera. Upon landing, we took a precarious walk over stones and algae to hike to a viewing platform on the cliffs. From the platform, we could see puffins galore! I discovered the edible flower, Harebells. These delicate purple, you guessed it, bell-shaped flowers taste like peapods.
